Peer Review Process

The publishing process in Jurnal Envirous is structured to maintain quality, transparency, and timeliness. The key stages are:

  1. Submission (1–2 days):
    Authors submit manuscripts via OJS, following the journal template. A confirmation email is sent automatically.

  2.  Initial Screening (5–10 days):
    Editors check the manuscript’s relevance, formatting, and similarity (via Turnitin or Similarity Check). If the similarity index exceeds 20%, the author must revise and resubmit the manuscript within one week; otherwise, the manuscript will be rejected.

  3. Peer Review (1–5 weeks):
    Manuscripts are reviewed through a double-blind process by 1–2 reviewers, assessing originality, methodology, and contribution.

  4. Revision (1–2 weeks per stage):
    Authors revise based on reviewer feedback. Re-review may be required depending on the changes.

  5. Editorial Decision (3–12 days):
    The editor decides: accept, minor/major revisions, or reject. Authors are notified through OJS.

  6. Copyediting (5–10 days):
    Manuscripts are edited for grammar, clarity, citation style, and consistency.

  7. Galley Layout (5–10 days):
    Articles are formatted into the official journal layout and assigned a DOI.

 

Estimated Total Time from Submission to Publication:
Up to 15 weeks, depending on the revision and review process.
